Guidelines: In pieces of communication it is essential that the primary colours are always the most prominent. The supporting secondary colours and the accent colours must be used to a lesser extent, as detalailed below.

Primary Colours: The 16 colours from the Vibrancy and Classic Colour Palettes should be given primary consideration.These colours should always be the most predominant colours on the page e.g. use for solid backgrounds.

Secondary Colours: The secondary colours, taken from the background paint stroke of the Brand Logo, can be used to complement the primary colours.These colours should never cover more than 30% of the page e.g. use for small panels.

Accent Colours: The accent colours, taken from the bold ‘08’ of the Brand Logo, can also be used to complement the Primary colours. These colours should never cover more than 15% of the page e.g. use for headlines or keylines

Guidelines:

1. The MTV Logo in its entirety is art, and must be used as it is provided. It is their brand identity.
2. The outline of the logo should never be altered
3. The words "music television" proportionally spaced and placed under the "M" are not a font. It is art, do not change it.
4. Always include the appropriate trademark symbol either by placing ® or ™ immediately after and to the right of the word "television"
5. The following rules always apply when using the MTV logo:

DO NOT BLEED LOGO OFF THE PAGE.
DO NOT TILT THE LOGO
DO NOT TWIST THE LOGO
DO NOT STRETCH THE LOGO VERTICALLY OR HORIZONTALLY.
DO NOT BEND THE LOGO
THE LOGO SHOULD ALWAYS BE SHOWN AS ONE COLOUR

Guidelines: The 3 logo may be cropped to the edge of a page or screen to the limits defined by the dotted lines on the diagram above. The logo may be cropped on one or a maximum of two sides at any one time. This applies to all of 3's logo versions.
